STORM Employment Program
Graduates of the SWAT Program are eligible to join our employment program which is called STORM (Special Team Of Role Models).
Applications for the STORM program are generally accepted immediately after the completion of a SWAT program. Interested graduates have a few days to download, complete and submit their application to be a part of our STORM program.
Submissions that have been completed correctly and on time are filed. When a new vacancy comes up for the STORM program, we interview the SWAT graduate candidates.
We consider their performance as students by examining their:
- Attendance
- Attitude
- Responsibility
- Willingness to learn
- Commitment to excellence
The next step for potential STORM applicant is to try some on the job training where we look at their punctuality and enthusiasm.
If successful, they must sign a work place agreement and a code of conduct. We then issue them with a Shire Martial Arts team uniform and they are renumerated according to their age and level for a probationary period.
SWAT qualified students (past and present) who wish to apply for the STORM Employment Program, can download an application form here (During the intake cycle)
Applications must be completed correctly and handed into the SMA admin desk by:
(SWAT applications are currently closed)
Who Is Suitable For This Program?
As you can appreciate this is a wonderful opportunity for a young person who hasn’t had any work experience or is new to being a part of a high functioning team.
It’s also a great opportunity for adults, as we help them develop a whole new skill set that can be applied in many other areas of their life.
Completing the SWAT program is the first step of joining the STORM program.
As our previous graduates have demonstrated, the potential long term benefits that can be derived from these programs can be life changing.
